Les Vigneaux is a charming village which provides easy access to a variety of summer and winter mountain activities either sportive or educational. From the gite, you can access the GR50 (long distance trail), the Compostelle pilgrimage trail, Vallouise, L’ Argentière-la-Bessée, Puy-Saint-Vincent, Ailefroide and the Pré de Mme Carle of the fortified medieval town of Briançon.
You are spoilt for choice, from hiking in the Ecrins national park to cycling the mythical mountain passes (Col du Lautaret, Galibier, d’Izoard, Croix de fer, Téléraphe…). Mountain biking, trail running, white water rafting, canoeing, kayaking.
Winter in Les vigneaux gives you access to all the mountain activities. Alpine skiing with Puy-Saint-Vincent less than 5km and Serre chevalier 20 minute drive away. Ski touring with a local guide or cross-country skiing in the Vallouise valley. You can go snowshoe trekking from the gite. l’ Argentière-la-Bessée hold a world famous ice climbing festival every January. Dog sledding and wolf discovery snowshoe treks are available locally.
